Monster Hunter- Frost Walrus

This is my entry for 's ice themed monster design. I wanted to do a brute wyvern with emphasis on legs-- but somehow I ended up with walrus. <_< At the very least, walrus fits the blizzard theme well.

Name: Frost Walrus, so original, hm?
Species: Brute wyvern, leviathan, or pelagus?
Traits: thick blubbery hide for cold res (and makes weapons bounce), powerful ice tusks to penetrate ice blocks, anchor tail for continued smashing, and hard icy shell for further protection.
Signature moves: Relatively sluggish monster that can be surprisingly fast in rage mode. Body slides, body flops, you name it. Its tusks make frontal approaches very dangerous. --And it probably likes to spam burrow.
Breakable parts: tusks, back, tail

Art details: This is a very rough design. Sketched out, colored in Copic markers, and partially inked. I added the armor set for fun. I wish I could have done more with it-- like design weapons or a cover battle scene-- but bah, I procrastinated.
